About blog and Yoko-chan

About this blog: anime reviews and wallpapers, news about them and mangas, j-rock / j-pop, j-doramas, movies and so on. Now i don’t know how it is like with you, but over here once you start watching animes you definetly fall in love with mostly everything regarding Japan. It’s the same with me.

Me? I’m Yoko-chan (of course, only known as Yoko-chan), an anime addict, a Gackt and L’Arc en Ciel and DBSK and Miyavi and The Gazette and Quaff and NewS and KAT-TUN fan and also a fan of actors Tatsuya Fujiwara, Kenichi Matsuyama, Tak Sakaguchi, Yuichi Nakamura, Mizushima Hiro, Toma Ikuta, Matsumoto Jun, Oguri Shun.

Now when i first started this blog i was only planning on keeping it an anime wallpapers blog. However, things got a little out of hand and basically i’ll just post movie reviews, news about j-music, mangas and animes and … well whatever else crosses my mind that is in the same Japanese area. :) )

Hope you’ll like it and find it useful.

Ja ne!

Glad to get your comment and find your blog — I’d really think getting into anime in Japan would be harder unless you already speak the language. Being in Japan more or less reignited my interest in anime from high school (took it easy in college though it’d be a lie to say I didn’t watch anything or go to conventions). Keep postin’, I’ll be stoppin in!

Wow! I thought “Landed in Japan” was just the name chosen for the blog; i never imagined that i should have taken it literally! :D
About the language, you know how it is: if you watch animes constantly, it’s impossible not to learn a few things and it actually helps if you decide to seriously study it. (Wish i had more time to do that… )
Thanks a lot for stoppin’ by! I’ll definetly “land in Japan” as well. :D

Same here, Yoko-chan (thumb up), I admire japanese culture aswell.
    Kenichi Matsuyama (heart)
I’m glad that you expanded your initial idea, it’s much more richer this way.
I appreciate your opinions and I like the fact you talk about other aspects that really help atleast my oblivion concerning that other aspects of Japan. It’s pleasant for me to discover and gradually disclose them and so learn more about the Japanese culture.
So, please, keep doing your best.

I’m also trying to adopt a Shikamaru-like vision of life also, but it doesn’t seem to work. I might not be smart enough for that one. :D

^_^ who doesn’t like anime? its totally awesome! am i right? well then again, my sister totally hates anything to do with anime, manga, Chinese food, sushi, fish, ramen, and pretty much the entire culture. i really don’t understand why, though. *shrugs* i guess its just not her thing. (we’re complete opposites ;P) lol

    • July 22, 2010 at 10:07 am | #20

My sister was the same. Until one day i was watching Hana Kimi j-dorama and she just sat beside me and started watching with me and now… now i think she watched more j-doramas than me. :D However, i still can’t make her watch animes. But i’ll keep trying. Teehee!
