Yo minna! Guess what? I figured what new section to bring here on Fridays. As the title says, it’s gonna be “J-news Friday!”. I’ll bring here the most interesting pieces of news i can find and i will simply put down the link to where i found them so that you can read the whole articles. No point in me writing them all over again. I’ll most probably write just a few thoughts of my own regarding the respective subjects.
- So with that being said, let me tell you a little something about the first piece of news you definetly must know about. “Yankee-kun to Megane-chan Drama Announced”. Hiroki Narimiya (Gokusen, NANA) and Riisa Naka (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) will be the main characters. I can’t wait for it to come out!!! Read the whole article here.

- Yuichi Nakamura of D-BOYS will be acting in a new dorama. Masayuki Ishikawa’s manga “Moyashimon” will be turned into this dorama this summer. A good excuse to post some more pics of Yuichi. Read the whole article here.

- Yamapi is going to star in a new live-action film of boxing manga “Ashita no Joe.” Can you believe that? Can you imagine Yamapi in that role? I honestly can’t, which is why i can’t wait for it to come out. Read the whole article here.

- Speaking of Yamapi, did you see the preview for NewS’ upcoming single “Sakura Girl” ? Check the whole article out, including viewing the preview here.

- Now let’s get into the manga world a little. Did you hear about the accusations brought to Publisher Radical Comics? They’re being accused that their manga series “Incarnate” copies imagery from Tito Kubo’s manga series “Bleach”. I can’t even find the words to comment on this one… Read the whole article here.

- And a bit of anime news. Hetalia fan disk to include unstreaned episode! Ok i would probably comment something about this if i had actually watched anything of Hetalia, but since i haven’t… i’ll let you read the whole article here.

Okeeeeyyy. That’s enough for today’s first edition of “J-news Friday!”. Hope you found these things as useful as i do. Have a great weekend!
Jaa ne!

Yo minna! Something really weird happened and i’ve been meaning to talk about this. On Saturday, after i finished watching Code-E, i had no idea what to watch next. (PS: I’ve decided to make another page here where i’ll write a list of the animes i’m planning to watch, the animes i’m currently watching and the animes i’ve finished watching and yes, i do have a MAL account, but i’m too lazy to update that one). So anywayz, i just randomly picked an OVA called “The girl who leapt through time”. Now you have to admit the title sounds interesting. Let me tell you a few words about the story.
Makoto Konno is a highschool girl who realizes that she has the power to go back in time and change the course of different actions the moment she avoids a train accident in which she was sure to die. She uses this power to re-take school tests, to have fun at karaoke along with her best friends Chiaki Mamiya and Kosuke Tsuda and so on. However, she soon notices that her doing this, affects others in a way that she could have never imagined. Makoto didn’t know that the number of leaps were counted and she kept going back to get away from undesirable situations such as Chiaki’s love confession. While she had finished the number of leaps she was allowed to have, she is unable to prevent Kosuke and his girlfriend from being killed in the accident she was initially involved in. However, at that moment, time stops and Chiaki reveals his true identity as a time traveller coming from the future.
Now i won’t tell ya the ending because i’d just ruin the surprise, but it really is worth watching. I got laughed at because i kept crying while watching this OVA. The only thing i didn’t like was the graphics, but still, the storyline was so great that i just couldn’t stop watching!
And now here comes the weird part. While i was still crying after finished the OVA, i randomly checked some of the usual blogs i like and guess what Mister John on AnimeNation posted? The “The girl who leapt through time” OVA will become live action movie next year and the role of Makoto Konno will be played by Riisa Naka, the actriess who lended her voice for the girl’s character in the OVA! I really can’t wait for the movie! Read the whole article here: http://www.animenation.net/blog/2009/10/02/new-tokikake-live-action-movie-in-development/
